Line Editing

This is the most popular and cost effective form of editing with self-publishing authors who are serious about boosting their credibility and positioning themselves as an expert in their industry.

This form of editing includes developmental editing and copy editing and ensures that your book reflects well on you, your knowledge and expertise. This level of editing is essential to ensure that you attract your ideal clients with a well written book, rather than repel them by looking like an amateur author.

Proofreading

This is the final stage before your book goes to print and ensures that your manuscript is error free. This is the stage where the finishing touches are made, making sure there aren't any spelling, punctuation or word usage errors (ie. led vs. lead; then vs. than)

Since this is the last pass of your manuscript, it doesn't focus on organization of information, sentence structure, grammar, readability, etc.

A final proofread is needed for every book! During this phase, a fresh pair of professional eyes will spot even the smallest of mistakes.

Price: $3.50/page* (minimum $60) Delivery: 14 Business Days

Editing Rates

*Our “per page” rates for editing, formatting and eBook creation are based on the average number of words per page in a non-fiction book, which is roughly 250. To determine your page count, find your total word count in the Review tab in Microsoft Word and divide that number by 250. Use the resulting number as your quantity for page count.
